About

“Here’s the facts; I can whoop your ass on Ridge Racer 4, and maybe even Tekken 2, depending on if I use Yoshimitsu or not. I’m also addicted to the internet like a celebrity is to crack. Sorta. I like to watch Heroes, Tim Burton movies and bad 80’s flicks. I like wearing bright colours, doing last-minute photoshoots and baking cupcakes.”

Official-esque Bio:
Born in 1983 in Tauranga, New Zealand, and raised in Coffs Harbour, Australia, Emily Tulett was a traveler from day one.
Till age seven Emily was raised in Youth Hostels that her parents managed and was surrounded by multi-national friends and a myriad of languages. It seems fitting that she can trace her ancestral roots to much of Europe (primarily English, which she is by a half, French from both sides and also Scottish).
Her parents, both avid travelers, took both their children, Emily and her older brother Owen, on many round world adventures before Emily reached 18. While Disneylands and Hamley’s (a giant toy store in London) proved favorites with the children, the parents also made time every trip for long visits to local art galleries. It was here that Emily’s mind would be set onto the world of art.
At 15, Emily’s favorite artists were Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Vincent Van Gogh. At 18, Emily adored Alphonse Mucha, Toulouse Lautrec, Jean Michel Basquiat and started to appreciate the film works of director Sofia Coppola (an admiration that continues to this day). Later came a love of photography and an obsession with Helmut Newton, Sam Taylor Wood and Annie Leibovitz, and finally a feeling of deep empathy and similarity with English artist Tracey Emin.

Emily is now 24, studing in her first year at art school. This is her blog.
